Jason & Melissa
Jason and Melissa Brown are from Pennsylvania USA. This is their Black Crown Soap page. Using the recipes and methods outlined in The Guide they have been able to produce both bar and liquid soaps and are now looking forward to marketing this new found asset from their biodiesel production. But let's hear it in their own words:

Luc,
"Melissa and I wanted tell you how thrilled we are about making soap from our glycerine byproduct. It works, and it is easy to make ! We now have a solution to the glycerine by product pilling up.

Our waste has now become a source of money. We can now off set our cost of making biodiesel.

jason pouring liquid soap The soap in both liquid and bar form are truly amazing. The more we use them the more we like them and the more uses we find for the soap.

We use it for hand soap, degreaser, dog wash, car wash.

We use it to clean the kitchen and bathrooms.

We have replaced a lot of chemicals that we no longer buy to clean with.

That also is a savings of money and we are not using those harsh smelling chemicals in our house.

I have even used it in the shower to replace shampoo and soap. It works great !

We would like to say thank you ! And if there is anyone who is skeptical like I was, please don't hesitate to give them my e-mail or phone number. I will be more than happy to explain to them how it has worked for us! And how you have help us along the way. It is not just a guide you get a partner that helps you succeed.

Melissa selling soap at the green fair

" This was the second annual green fair in souderton, pa. Melissa sold about $450.00 worth of soap. There was a woman selling goat milk soap for $6.00 and they were half the size of Melissa's bars. She sold unscented bars for $2.00 or three for $5.00 and scented bars were $2.50 or three for $6.00 ". - Jason Brown

Professional soap cooker with wooden bar soap molds

"I was at the warehouse picking up oils. The owner knows I looked at these, but they were over a grand ($1,000.00). It holds 70 pounds of glycerine enough for four molds, 128 bars.
I could do six molds if need be.

Well this one was sold to a candle maker, she made one batch and quit. I got it for $600.00 I got it home to suprise Melissa and inside there was an extra heating element and control thermostat , about an extra $350.00 worth of stuff.

I called the owner of the company and he said,", you were honest enough to call me,so its yours. Thanks for buying from us rather than someone else.

I have to attach the hose for Melissa to fill the molds. This will make it so much easier! " - Jason Brown

Nothing like a good old fashioned success story. Jason and Melissa, we'll be keeping an eye on you. Keep up the good work. - Luc
